On Friday, Sept. 13, an investigation was launched when a 50-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery that left him with a critical gunshot wound along the 400 block of Dunkirk Road in the Towson area.

The man was "severely wounded," according to police.

Following the investigation, police identified a minor as a suspect in the robbery, and on Wednesday afternoon, the Baltimore County Police Department announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The search for the wanted juvenile remains active and ongoing by members of the agency's Violent Crimes Unit as of Oct. 3.
